In a 12 week study undertaken by corresponding author of the study, Giulio R. Romeo, M.D., of Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, Mass. says that the findings encourage bigger and more extensive research into the role played y cinnamon in stabilizing blood sugar levels.

Participants in the study were given different doses of cinnamon and then observed.

The study confirmed that cinnamon supplements were able to lower abnormal fasting glucose levels ; while improving the physical response to eating a meal with carbs, which normally raise blood sugar levels.

Researchers also found that cinnamon was well tolerated without causing any side effects.

According to a study published in the Journal Fertility and Sterility, cinnamon water reduced insulin resistance in women with PCOS.
